For the quality control of core raw materials 50Mn and 42CrMo tempered forgings, the company has recently comprehensively promoted the upgrading of the supplier management system, and created a high-standard forging supply chain system through three major initiatives: strict selection at source, strict control of the process, and strict examination of the delivery, in order to provide global customers with a more reliable product guarantee.

Source Control: Anchor to State-owned Large Steel Enterprises

SWBTEC clearly requires suppliers to purchase high-quality ingots produced by large state-owned iron and steel enterprises, so as to eliminate quality fluctuations in raw material smelting from the source. Through on-site inspections, qualification audits and process benchmarking, the company has reached strategic cooperation with two head forgings suppliers to ensure that key indicators such as composition uniformity and grain size of forgings are 100% in line with international standards such as ISO,ASTM and DIN.

Double quality inspection: build quality firewall

In addition to requiring suppliers to submit self-inspection reports for each batch of forgings, SWBTEC simultaneously introduces a third-party authoritative testing mechanism to double-verify more than 20 indexes, such as mechanical properties, hardness, ultrasonic flaw detection, etc. Any non-compliant forgings will be subject to a double-verification process. Any substandard forgings will be returned directly and included in the supplier’s performance appraisal system to achieve closed-loop quality management.

Delivery speed: 10-day delivery commitment

To cope with the increasingly urgent demand for order delivery, SWBTEC re-signed an agreement with its suppliers to compress the forging delivery cycle to within 10 days, and at the same time set up an emergency inventory mechanism to ensure production continuity. Currently, the on-time delivery rate of strategic suppliers has increased to 95%, significantly enhancing the efficiency of industry chain synergy.
