42CrMo or 50Mn forged steel raw material treated by vacuum degassing process, the purity of the material reaches the industrial special standard. Compared with ordinary cast steel, its tensile strength is increased by 35%, and its yield strength exceeds 800MPa, effectively eliminating the risk of ferrule fracture under thousands of tons of heavy-duty operation of large-scale equipment and ensuring structural integrity.

The surface of the raceway is treated by numerical control induction hardening, the depth of the effective hardening layer is stably controlled between 4mm and 6mm, and the surface hardness reaches 58-62 HRC. This deep hardening treatment extends the contact fatigue life of the raceway by 2.5 times, and even under the condition of 24 hours of continuous operation, it can maintain more than 100,000 hours of trouble-free operation.

The tooth part of the large-diameter slewing bearing adopts high-precision grinding process, and the gear accuracy level reaches ISO 7 or higher. The flank clearance is strictly controlled in the range of 0.15mm to 0.25mm. This micron-level meshing accuracy reduces the transmission impact by 70% and controls the operating noise below 85 decibels during high-speed rotation.

Equipped with anti-aging nitrile rubber material of double lip or 3 lip labyrinth seal ring, protection level reached IP65 standard. This large diameter slewing bearing adopts the integral seamless forging ring technology, rather than the tailor welding process used in low-end products on the market. The integral forging eliminates the stress concentration points 1 the weld, improves the fatigue resistance of the product under alternating load by more than 40%, and completely avoids the hidden danger of weld cracking after long-term use. In view of the high salt spray corrosion pain points faced by offshore cranes and port machinery, we sprayed zinc-rich anti-corrosion coating with a thickness of 150 microns on the sealing groove and non-matching surface, and cooperated with multi-layer labyrinth sealing, which successfully solved the problems of raceway rust and cage fracture caused by salt spray erosion.

Before installing the large diameter slewing bearing, the flatness of the mounting bracket must be checked with a laser level. The flatness error of the installation surface shall be controlled within two ten thousandths of the diameter, and the paint, welding slag and burrs on the surface shall be removed to prevent the deformation of the bearing from causing the operation jam.

High-strength bolts of grade 10.9 or 12.9 must be used and coated with thread fastening glue. The tightening shall follow the principle of 180-degree symmetrical crisscross, and tighten it step by step with a torque wrench in 3 steps (30%, 80% and 100 torque) to ensure uniform distribution of installation pre-tightening force.

During the installation process, be sure to find the position of the soft belt marked “S” on the end face of the ferrule (that is, the ceasefire area of the quenching belt). The soft zone should be placed in the non-load zone or the non-frequent force zone (I. e. the position perpendicular to the main load direction) to avoid stress concentration causing damage to the raceway.

After the initial installation, add extreme pressure lithium grease while rotating the bearing slowly until the grease escapes evenly from the sealing lip. In the first 100 hours of equipment operation, it is recommended to check the bolt preload every 8 hours and add grease to complete the best running-in.
