Start with the load path and drive layout. The bearing must carry the axial load, radial load and overturning moment that occur together; mounting stiffness and the duty cycle also affect the final size.

What to send for an accurate quote
Send a drawing or existing part number when available. For a new design, include the following project data so SWBTEC can identify a suitable model and quote the same configuration you intend to install.
- Loads: axial force, radial force and overturning moment for the operating cases that occur together, including shock or start and stop conditions.
- Interface: outside and inside diameter limits, overall height, bolt circle, hole pattern, rotating ring and available support structure.
- Drive: internal, external or no gear; for geared rings, share pinion data and the required gear mesh.
- Operation: rotation speed or oscillation angle, duty cycle, temperature, contamination and lubrication access.
- Purchase: quantity, delivery destination and any inspection or documentation requirement.

Replacing an existing slew bearing
A matching outside diameter does not make two rings interchangeable. Compare the bolt circles, hole counts, mounting height, rotating ring, gear module and tooth count, clearance and sealing arrangement. Share the old drawing or part number along with photographs of both mounting faces.
For a change from ball to roller construction, or from one row arrangement to another, recalculate the simultaneous loads and check the connected structure and bolts. Confirm the replacement against the new product drawing before ordering.
What changes the quoted price
Price depends on the model and the work required to make it: ring size, load capacity, gear machining, accuracy, material and heat treatment, seals, quantity and required delivery schedule. A replacement that needs a changed bolt pattern or tooth geometry also changes the manufacturing scope.
Ask the sales team to identify the selected model and drawing revision, included inspection records, packaging and delivery terms on the quotation. This makes offers with different configurations easier to compare.
Manufacturing and inspection points
SWBTEC's product materials describe incoming forging checks, ultrasonic inspection after rough turning, raceway heat treatment, gear and hole machining, final assembly and recorded inspection. The relevant checks depend on the ordered design.
For a drawing-specific order, agree on the inspection record before production. Typical recorded items include overall height, mounting dimensions, axial and radial clearance, ring runout, raceway hardness and smooth rotation. A geared ring can also require gear measurements; the accepted limits should match the approved drawing.
