Manufacturing and inspection points

SWBTEC’s documented slewing-bearing process begins with incoming forging inspection and rough turning. After rough machining, ultrasonic inspection checks for internal defects. Raceways are finish turned before induction hardening; the company’s process material specifies an HRC 55–62 hardness target for the hardened raceway zone, followed by tempering and checks of hardness, case depth, and cracks.

Machining then establishes the mounting features and ring geometry. Assembly pairs the rolling elements, seals, and rings to the drawing, followed by rotation checks for smooth movement and unusual noise. Finished-bearing inspection can record height, clearance, runout, raceway hardness, and mounting dimensions. Buyers who require a particular test method or report should identify it with the drawing and purchase specification.

Plan the installation and drive

Light rotary tables, tracking structures, and sorting equipment are potential uses when the load and motion case fits. The smooth rings leave the drive arrangement to the machine designer, so confirm how turning torque and holding or braking force reach the rotating structure.

Prepare clean, flat mounting faces and an even bolt preload. SWBTEC’s installation material calls for at least property class 8.8 bolts and placement of the marked soft zone in a lightly loaded area. The supplied bearing contains only a small amount of EP2-type grease; add the specified working grease before operation and set a relubrication plan for the actual duty and environment.
