bearing slewing ring
Match a replacement slewing ring to your machine, mounting interface, gear, and operating loads. SWBTEC can work from a machine model and serial number, an existing part number, an approved drawing, or a complete application data set.

Start With the Machine, Part Number, or Drawing
A replacement bearing must match the equipment interface and the application duty. The fastest starting point is the machine make, model, serial number, bearing part number, and photos of the identification marks. This route helps distinguish machines that share a model family but use different bearings by production year or configuration.
An approved bearing or equipment drawing provides a stronger dimensional basis. Send the outside and inside diameters, overall height, mounting-hole pattern, locating features, gear data, rotating ring, seals, lubrication ports, and required clearance or preload. Mark the drawing revision so the quote and the manufactured bearing refer to the same interface.
An old sample can support reverse engineering when the original records are unavailable. Pair it with measurements from the machine structure and any historical drawings because wear, distortion, corrosion, or previous repair work can alter the removed part.

Data Needed to Match a Slewing Ring Bearing
The selection starts with a load case, motion profile, interface, and service environment. Provide values with units and identify which loads occur at the same time. A list of separate maximum values does not show the internal load distribution if those peaks occur in different machine states.
Loads and motion
- Axial load, radial load, and overturning moment for each operating, parked, test, and exceptional condition
- Rotation speed or oscillation angle, cycles per day, duty cycle, acceleration, braking, and reversals
- Shock, vibration, emergency stop, wind, slope, or tool loads that reach the bearing interface
- Required service life, allowable clearance or preload, stiffness, and rotational accuracy
Machine interface
- Available outside diameter, bore, overall height, bolt circles, hole sizes, and locating features
- Fixed ring, rotating ring, mounting orientation, adjacent structure thickness, flatness, and stiffness
- Internal gear, external gear, or gearless configuration; pinion and center-distance data for geared bearings
- Space for seals, grease fittings, fastener access, lifting, and future removal
Environment and order scope
- Operating temperature, dust, mud, water, salt, corrosion, cleaning method, and storage conditions
- Material, heat treatment, coating, sealing, lubrication, inspection, and traceability requirements
- Quantity, prototype or production status, target delivery date, shipping destination, and required documents
Bearing Slewing Ring Options

Verify the Mounting Interface and Gear Mesh
Dimensional interchangeability requires every mounting relationship to fall within its approved tolerance. A small change in bearing height can shift the pinion contact position, while a hole-pattern or pilot-fit difference can prevent assembly or transfer load incorrectly. The rotating-ring choice also determines how the bearing connects to the drive and where cables, hoses, and lubrication points move.
The support structure affects bearing performance after installation. Record the mounting-face flatness, stiffness, plate thickness, weld locations, pilot fits, coating thickness, and fastener access. The mating surfaces must be clean and flat, and the connection must provide uniform clamping. Installation bolt grade, preload method, and tightening sequence belong in the approved installation plan.
A geared replacement must preserve the intended mesh across the full rotation. Gear geometry establishes the nominal center distance and tooth engagement; bearing and pinion runout then change the working backlash around the circumference. The approved installation method should set backlash at the marked maximum-runout position and verify the contact pattern before the machine returns to service.
Send an Interface DrawingMatch Loads, Motion, and Service Life
Static selection checks the rolling raceway and the bolted connection against the same load cases. A bearing is not confirmed when only one catalog load value passes. The adjacent structure must also remain stiff and flat enough to distribute load around the rings and bolts.
Service-life work uses the actual motion and load spectrum. Slow full rotation, continuous rotation, and small-angle oscillation place different demands on the raceway and lubricant. Starts, stops, reversals, shock events, contamination, corrosion, and lubrication intervals can control field life even when the maximum static condition is acceptable.
For geared bearings, the review also covers tooth contact capacity, tooth-root strength, pinion load, backlash, lubrication, and drive events. Multiple pinions require a load-sharing assessment because structure deflection and installation variation can prevent equal torque distribution.

Request an Application ReviewFreeze the Drawing, Then Verify the Built Bearing
Production should begin from an approved drawing and a frozen technical specification. The approval package identifies the dimensions, tolerances, material, heat treatment, gear, clearance or preload, sealing, lubrication, marking, inspection, and document requirements that apply to the order. Any later change to a critical item requires a reviewed drawing revision.
SWBTEC process inspection can cover incoming forging appearance and dimensions, ultrasonic inspection after rough turning, overall hardness after tempering, raceway hardness and hardened-layer depth, crack inspection, hole geometry, ring flatness, and assembly rotation. Applicable checks depend on the bearing design and the agreed inspection plan.
Final inspection can record overall height, rotation condition, axial and radial clearance, ring runout, raceway hardness, diameters, mounting holes, and bolt-circle dimensions. For geared products, the agreed record can also include gear radial runout, tooth thickness, and related gear characteristics. Tie the report to the model, serial or batch number, order, and approved drawing revision.
Define Your Inspection PackageBuild a Quote That Can Be Compared
A useful quote defines the same technical and commercial scope you will use to compare suppliers. Bearing structure, dimensions, material, heat treatment, precision, gear requirements, seals, quantity, and delivery schedule establish the base scope. Custom engineering, tooling, sample validation, special inspection, third-party testing, and expedited production can change the price and lead time.
State which deliverables belong with the bearing. Depending on the order, these may include an approved drawing, material documents, inspection report, conformity statement, installation and maintenance instructions, packing list, and agreed certificates. Define export packing, corrosion protection, shipping terms, destination, and responsibility for freight, insurance, duties, and customs clearance.
Standard references and custom replacements follow different schedules, so SWBTEC confirms lead time after the model, quantity, technical scope, and document package are clear.

Get a Technical QuoteQuestions fréquemment posées
Can SWBTEC make a replacement from an old bearing?
Yes. Send the old sample with the machine make, model, serial number, and any historical drawing. SWBTEC can prepare a replacement drawing for review before production.
Are two slewing rings interchangeable if the outside diameter is the same?
The outside diameter is only one interface dimension. Interchangeability also depends on the bore, height, hole patterns, locating features, rotating ring, gear geometry, clearance or preload, sealing, lubrication, load capacity, and required accuracy.
Can I receive a 2D drawing or 3D CAD model?
SWBTEC can provide 2D drawings, 3D CAD models, and technical documents for selection and design support. Request the required format and revision status with your inquiry.
What maintenance information should I include in a replacement review?
Send the lubricant type and interval, operating hours, inspection history, measured clearance trend, bolt checks, gear condition, seal condition, and photos of any wear or damage. This information helps separate an interface mismatch from installation, lubrication, contamination, or overload effects.
