Consiste en tomar un reloj comparador para medir el incremento de holgura bajo un par espec\u00edfico y compararlo con los datos de f\u00e1brica. Sin embargo, la tecnolog\u00eda ha avanzado r\u00e1pidamente en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os. Cada vez hay m\u00e1s sistemas de monitorizaci\u00f3n en l\u00ednea con sensores incorporados, como el BCM. Es realmente c\u00f3modo ver los datos en tiempo real sin tiempo de inactividad. Aplique un momento conocido a la estructura; por ejemplo, accione la pluma hacia arriba para que el cojinete se compacte en una direcci\u00f3n. Cuando la estructura est\u00e9 completamente estabilizada, vuelva a poner la mesa a cero. Es necesario medir algunos puntos m\u00e1s alrededor del rodamiento, normalmente cada 90 grados. Al analizar los datos, compare el incremento de juego medido con el valor l\u00edmite del fabricante. En t\u00e9rminos generales, el valor l\u00edmite = la cantidad de desgaste admisible del juego original.
